When an old farmhouse was renovated, and in the process doubled in size, we were asked to create a new garden that would tolerate the harshness of the Hunter Valley climate, and to add to the character of the landscape. The new garden balances the working elements of the farm with aesthetics, hedges, paths, avenues of young trees and a pond that give `bones’ to the softer planting.
